Siddharth known for his lover boy image has once again come up with a romantic comedy Love Failure. Debutant director Balaji Mohan roped in Amala Paul opposite Siddharth in this romantic love story. Siddharth is also trying his luck as producer with this film. We will see whether Siddharth’s Love Failure gets him his much needed success or not.

It is a love story gone sour between Arun (Siddharth) and Parvathi (Amala Paul). They fall in love and call it quits after a year because of misunderstanding and ego issues. Both move on with their lives with Parvathi busy preparing for her higher studies in US while Arun trying to forget the episode by spending time with friends.

When these young lovers struggling to understand the real meaning of love, there is another matured love story of Parvathi's parents Aravind (Suresh)and Saru (Surekha Vani) to look at. The couple breaks up due to irreconcilable differences and later unite realizing the love and faith they have on each other. Inspired by her parents’ story, Parvathi tries to reunite with Arun. Climax portrays how Arun reciprocates to Parvathi.

Siddharth in the lover boy role is routine. There is no energy in his character. He is more of a preacher than an actor in the movie. Amala Paul has done a better job than Siddharth in the movie. Siddharth friends Vignesh, Shiva, James and Rama acted well as debutants. Suresh and Surekha Vani are routine.

Debutant director Balaji Mohan’s novice treatment is glaring in handling the script and directing the scenes. He failed to bring out the right emotions in love scenes between Siddharth and Amala Paul. Scenes between Amala Paul and Suresh are not handled properly. Documentary type screenplay is big minus to the movie. S S Thaman composed a couple of good songs. But background score is not up to the mark. Cinematography, editing, costumes and all other departments are below par.

The script of the movie is routine and outdated. Director added a couple of other love episodes to consume the reel. Vignesh and Shiva are more entertaining compared to Siddharth and Amala Paul. The film’s chances are very bleak at the box office for its weak story and not having commercial elements. Movie might appeal to a small segment of college going students who are in love.

Verdict: Average
